• ECE 22.06 approval: for the new ECE 22.06 standard, the SM5 achieves a regular-speed impact rating 44% better compared to the current 33% figure, as well as a 32% better low-speed linear impact score and a 31% better high-speed linear impact score than the current standard.
• Multi-density inner lining: ensures the correct density in the correct area to improve impact absorption.
• Redesigned chin bar: the new chin bar profile features a specifically sculpted base to create a raised relief area that clears the collarbone, along with a new, softer EPS liner that extends beyond the helmet shell itself and is covered by a more flexible rubber compound to reduce the likelihood of collarbone injury.
• Ventilation system: maximizes ventilation and offers high levels of thermal exchange thanks to multiple air intakes and exhaust ports.
• Lightweight construction: the ECE version of the SM5 helmet weighs 1,350 grams in medium size, and 1,420 grams in the ECE/DOT version with visor.
• Visor design: has been designed to direct air toward the ports and improve airflow.
• Available versions: the SM5 is available in 2 versions, ECE R 22.06 and ECE R 22.06/DOT.
